At Fulham, Keane’s old associate Damien Duff also haunted an old club. The winger was in wonderful form as he played a pivotal role in his team’s 5-2 win over Newcastle United. Duff won the first penal retribution of the game to send Fulham on their way to a stately victory having been 1-0 down.

In the same game, Giovanni Trapattoni may be outset to develop some bear upon over the tell of goals Villa grant at corners, with Shay Given and Richard Dunne central to a maintenance that in show malfunctions at set-pieces. David Edwards’s goal for Wolves today was the 10th they’ve conceded from corners this period of the year, the most in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Jon Walters missed a penal retribution in Stoke’s 2-1 discomfiture to West Brom while James McCarthy gave one away as he handled in Wigan’s 3-1 loss at QPR.
